Friday, 20 April 1770 Stalling Down, Cowbridge

Henry Thomas (aged 22) (of the parish of Ystradgynlais, Brecknockshire) at about noon on 16 March 1770 assaulted Watkin Thomas in the parish of Cilybebyll with a knife (value 3d) giving him a mortal wound in the right side of his neck 3" long and 2" deep whereof he languished for about 8 hours and then died, also robbing him of 50/-.  (WALES 4/621/7).  Hanged Staling Down, Cowbridge on Friday, 20 Aprril.  (Diary of William Thomas).
